Offensive reformers Obscurant reporters Signaling for murder You're such a good performer Sit behind a desk Spin the fantasy grotesque Watching while your true believers do the rest I wasn't made only for survival I am only here to make you my sworn rival On the bleeding edge Always hanging off the ledge But I don't think you've got enough rope to hang the rest Some deserve love And some deserve mercy Some deserve consequences For actions they're supporting Some deserve death Some deserve torture And you deserve worse AND SO DO ALL YOUR SUPPORTERS We're playing by your rules now Who is grooming who now Went and bought some guns See who is killing who now We're playing by your rules now Who is grooming who now Went and bought some guns See who is killing who now FUCK A new world, a new path Death brings change, A new queen reigns, Blood on my sword and it looks fucking great

I feel so powerless I feel so powerless As I grow old, skin weighted by stones I feel your grip taking hold I feel so powerless I wanna be an ant under your magnifying glass And as I burn, return to earth This too shall pass Never wanted to feel that power I always gave it away I never wanted to make my own decisions Can you make them for me?

about

Pure Black Tendency is a single from my new album East Atlanta Sober. This song is dedicated to scum that writhes in the corners of every room. The vampiric, demons that make a living bringing suffering into the world through their rhetoric and the cowards that run, hide and cry fowl when held accountable for the actions that have been acted upon by their words.

Pure Black Tendency is a concept from the popular game Demon's Souls. It's a mechanic that makes the game increasingly difficult the more that you die. The harder you get beaten, the harder the game is to beat. However, the rewards increase for taking back what's taken from you. Only from having everything stripped of you, being kicked repeatedly, can you access pure black world tendency which, in turn, unlocks rewards that are otherwise unachievable.

The slandering of queer and trans identities happens via the rhetoric of small men and women shielded behind thin wooden desks, told over cloth green screens and funneled through 6oz of plastic into the brains of useful idiots. This un-silent, un-majority has lived a comfortable life while the likes of you, and I, and our loved ones live on edge. They make money off our deaths and place the blame on us for the actions their fans perform. The queer extermination machine that runs fully operational in this world is not only deemed permissible, it is financially lucrative.

Pure Black Tendency is an awareness of the circumstances we live in, the consequences of letting this rot fester and the collapse of the firmament the rot has dissolved.

Whiskey Mule is, believe it or not, probably the happiest song I have ever written. When I was finishing recording my last album I made a very last minute decision to add in a recording of me reciting The Serenity Prayer, and this in many respects is a sequel to that. I am powerless but in powerlessness I am free. I am a very small part of a very large system and you can interpret this to something beautiful or horrifying or both.

This video is an amalgamation of more than a decade of my life that I stitched together to mean something. Small pieces in a large system. If you are apart of it, I thank you, because I needed you, and I hope you are doing well. I love you.

Whiskey Mule is the final track off of East Atlanta Sober which will be out in early 2024. The album is dedicated to the memory of Henry Moss.

Thank you for listening.
